The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Assistant Director (AD) plays a key supporting role in leading the strategic and operational success of all restaurant and bar outlets at the resort. As a highly visible leader, the AD assists the Director of F&B in driving service excellence, operational standards, and financial performance across the department. The AD provides strong daily leadership to all outlet teams, ensuring consistent service delivery, engaged team culture, and revenue growth. This role requires a dynamic leader who possesses high energy, a positive outlook, an influential leadership style, a strong personal standard of performance and a genuine drive to help the team succeed and elevate the guest experience. The AD collaborates closely with the Director to support the overall F&B strategy and possesses an Operations background with a passion for high quality food and drink.
Job Duties:
Assist the Director of F&B in managing the overall departmental strategy, financial goals, and operational standards.
Lead the daily operation and financial performance of all restaurants and bar outlets.
Support the Director of F&B in executing department-wide initiatives, brand standards, and long-term vision.
Provide guidance and leadership to the Senior Outlet Manager, Outlet Managers, and Outlet Supervisory Teams.
Oversee outlet leadership scheduling to ensure appropriate management presence and operational coverage.
Monitor, manage, and forecast labor across all restaurant and bar outlets to achieve productivity and financial targets.
Deliver consistent coaching and development to elevate team performance and ensure memorable guest experiences.
Ensure all guest service standards, engagement initiatives, and employee experience programs are executed effectively.
Participate in recruitment strategies to attract and retain top hospitality talent.
Develop and implement creative, revenue-driving promotions, events, and activation programs across all outlets.
Communicate goals, expectations, and strategic direction clearly to outlet leaders and teams.
Actively support the Director of F&B in aligning with hotel-wide goals and maintaining strong cross-departmental partnerships.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:
A passion for food, beverage, and delivering exceptional guest service.
Minimum 6 years of leadership experience in hotel food & beverage operations. with strong exposure to restaurants and bars; banquet experience an asset.
Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated energy, creativity, and leadership presence.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Proven track record leading large teams to successful outcomes.
